While wearing the shirt, have your helper pinch the excess fabric along the side seam and insert safety pins all the way down to the hem. The highest pin will guide us — we’ll taper the fit smoothly up to the armhole.
Repeat on the other side, matching the amount of fabric so both sides are even. It doesn’t need to be perfect — we’ll average and refine it for you.
